The Mission of the Spina Bifida Association of Iowa is to promote the prevention of spina bifida and to enhance the lives of all affected. SBAI provides services such as:

John Deere Golf Classic Birdies for Charity

 July 8 is the last day the John Deere Golf Classic's Birdies for Charity program can officially receive pledges. Spina Bifida of Iowa will receive all gifts given in its name, plus a five to 10 percent bonus.

Horse and Wagon Ride 2011

We are working with the Jester Park Exceptional Rider Program to offer wagon rides and individual horse rides.  Anyone can participate in the wagon ride at $10 per person.  You need to click on DOWNLOAD AN EQUINE PERMISSION FORM HERE!  On their website and send the forms to the Equestrian Center in care of Deanne Mundt. 

UNI Adapted Sports Camp

Wednesday June 15 - Saturday June 18

This camp is for kids about age 10 – 18 with lower limb disabilities who are interested in trying a variety of sports (tennis, basketball, track, rock climbing, etc.)  They provide the adaptive equipment and instruction.

Education Day 2011

Please remember to RSVP for the education day event scheduled for March 12th asap. We have day care arrangements right on site for the kids so the adults can focus on the presenters and topics at hand (the day care is in the room adjancent to where we meet). These events are excellent opportunities to get information from experts and a perfect opportunity to network with other families. We are excited to have Dr. Ramsey this year. Dr.
